The Arizona Society of Certified Public Managers® (ASCPM)
was formed in 1987 by graduates of the first Certified Public Manager® (CPM) class in Arizona to provide public sector managers with opportunities for advanced educational opportunities, communication, and problem solving skills through networking with peers in government service. The ASCPM is one of the charter members of the
American Academy of Certified Public Managers® (AACPM)
We are a professional
organization of Certified Public Managers® who work for Federal, State, and Municipal Governments
as well as other public jurisdictions and non-profits. |

Managers in the public sector have a responsibility to uphold the public trust; to provide service consistent with efficient management practices, to pursue continuing educational opportunities; and to exercise leadership demonstrating vision and competence in professional public management.
Society membership is comprised of Associates and Full Members. Associate Membership is extended to persons who are enrolled in the Certified Public Manager® program or have completed an approved supervisory program leading toward the CPM designation. Associate Members cannot hold State or National Office. Full Society Membership is extended to those persons that have completed the entire CPM training program and have earned the designation "Certified Public Manager®" (CPM).
